CD release party, April 23, 2013: This is an opportunity to check out Toronto’s beautiful new Jazz room Jazz Bistro and buy my second recording, Out of the Shadows, hot off the CD replication machine (it may still be warm). The recording was produced by Ted Ono and engineered by Ron Searles at the CBC in the now defunct Studio 44. Joining me for the evening will be three musicians on the recording: Reg Schwager (guitar), Steve Wallace (bass), and Mike Murley (tenor saxophone) plus special guests Nick Fraser (drums) and Nancy Walker (piano).
Music starts at 9:00 pm (Jazz time) Coming for dinner earlier is strongly recommended because they have a wonderful menu and chef. Please make reservations to guarantee a seat and give the club an idea of how many people to expect. My apologies to people who have also received this notice on facebook. I’m being more aggressive than usual. It’s my Kickstarter campaign in reverse.
